Why do I need more than one treatment?

So many beauty treatments offer immediate results. You can walk into a salon looking like an ogre, and emerge some time later looking and feeling like your most beautiful self.

Unfortunately, electrolysis isn’t like that. It needs time, and dedication. The surface of our skin contains hundreds and hundreds of follicles, and many of them will not be producing a hair at any one time. What does that mean for hair removal? Well, it means those hairs that keep appearing on your chin are only a very small percentage of the actual hair that is there. Sitting in front of the mirror, looking at that pesky chin hair, you may think you are repeatedly pulling out the same hair each time it grows back. It is unlikely. That ‘one’ hair, is probably 2, or 3, or 5 etc, etc.

Why does this happen? Well, it is all to do with the way hair grows. I will simply say here that hair growth occurs in cycles, and those cycles are aren’t synchronised. We will cover the hair growth cycle in another post. That’s something to look forward to!
